Request a Consult — See If You're Bulk Billed
Clinic Online is an Australian telehealth GP service that bulk bills. Most Australians with a valid Medicare card pay $0 out of pocket for general GP consultations — prescriptions, medical certificates and specialist, pathology and radiology referrals are all issued within the consult at no extra charge. Sexual health consultations, consultations for children under 12 months, and urgent care after 11pm are bulk billed for every Medicare card holder. AHPRA-registered Australian GPs are available on demand from 7am to midnight, 365 days a year.
Bulk billing means the doctor bills Medicare directly for the full cost of the consultation. There is no gap fee, no booking fee and nothing to pay on the day. You don't need a concession card, and there are no forms to fill in — your eligibility is confirmed automatically from your Medicare card details when you request a consult.
If your consultation isn't bulk billed, you pay one transparent flat fee — $45 for consultations up to 10 minutes, or $59 beyond 10 minutes — shown up front before you go ahead, with everything your GP issues included.
Two tiers — know which one applies to you before you choose your consult type.

No. Bulk billing at Clinic Online is not limited to concession card holders — most Australians with a valid Medicare card qualify for bulk billed general GP consultations. There are no forms to complete; eligibility is checked automatically from your Medicare card details when you request a consult.
Yes. When your consultation is bulk billed, Medicare covers the full consultation fee and you pay nothing out of pocket — no gap fee, no booking fee and no card surcharge. Anything the GP issues during the consult — e-scripts, medical certificates, referrals — is included. The only separate costs are outside the consult: the pharmacy's PBS co-payment for a medicine, or what a pathology collection centre, imaging clinic or specialist charges for the service you are referred to.
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Medical certificates, e-prescriptions and specialist, pathology and radiology referrals are provided within a standard GP consultation, and that consultation is bulk billed if you're eligible — so the document costs you $0 out of pocket. The GP decides whether a certificate, script or referral is clinically justified during the consult.
Three: sexual health consultations at any time of day (contraception, STI screening and management, PrEP and PEP); consultations for children under 12 months of age at any time, provided the child has a valid Medicare card number; and urgent care from 11pm for concerns that cannot safely wait until morning. Everything else — general GP consultations, including prescriptions, certificates, referrals, men's health and weight-loss consultations — is bulk billed for most Australians with a valid Medicare card.
Yes. Bulk-billing eligibility works the same way at any hour between 7am and midnight — most Medicare card holders are bulk billed for general GP consultations in the evening and on weekends and public holidays, with no after-hours surcharge. From 11pm, urgent care that cannot safely wait until morning is bulk billed for every Medicare card holder.
Yes — weight-loss consultations at Clinic Online are bulk billed for most Australians with a valid Medicare card, meaning $0 out of pocket. Patients who are not eligible pay a flat $59 per consultation, with no subscription, membership or program fee.
You can still see a GP. Without a valid Medicare card the consultation is charged at the standard private fee — $45 for consultations up to 10 minutes, or $59 beyond 10 minutes — with e-scripts, certificates and referrals included in that single fee. There are no subscriptions or hidden extras.
You never have to guess. When you request a consultation, your bulk-billing eligibility is checked automatically, and the result is shown before you choose your consult type. If you're bulk billed, no payment is taken. If you're not, the flat fee is shown up front before you go ahead.
