When you're unwell, you need a real doctor — not a form, not a chatbot, and not a 3-day wait.
At Clinic Online, you can speak to a qualified, AHPRA-registered Australian GP via secure video or phone — often within 5 minutes. No pre-booking. No waiting rooms. Just real medical care, when you need it.
Request a Consult Now — See a GP in Minutes
An online GP consultation at Clinic Online is a live video or phone appointment with an AHPRA-registered Australian GP — usually connected within 5 minutes — where you can discuss symptoms and receive prescriptions, medical certificates and referrals in a single session.
Every consultation is a real clinical conversation with a qualified Australian doctor — not a chatbot, a questionnaire, or a one-size-fits-all script. You describe what's happening in your own words, your GP asks clarifying questions, and together you agree on a sensible plan. There's no pre-booking, no waiting room, and no subscription.
Our doctors consult with patients across Australia, seven days a week, in complete privacy. Whether you're at home with a bug, stuck at work with a sore throat, travelling interstate, or caring for a family member, you can see a GP from wherever you have a phone signal.
Clinic Online consultations cover most of what you'd normally visit a GP for — everyday illnesses, prescription reviews, mental health support, sexual and reproductive health, and investigation or specialist referrals. Below are the most common reasons Australians book a consult with us.
Everything below is issued electronically during or immediately after your consult — no chasing paperwork, no second appointment, no posting anything.

Four simple steps. Most patients go from opening the site to speaking with a doctor in well under 10 minutes.
One flat price per consult. On-demand access to an AHPRA-registered Australian GP — no subscriptions, no form-based medicine, and no hidden fees. You only pay when you actually speak with a doctor.
Most straightforward GP consultations — prescriptions, medical certificates, single-issue advice and referrals.
Longer, more complex consultations — mental health reviews, multiple issues, chronic condition management or in-depth investigations.
Medicare: Medicare rebates may apply for eligible consultations — availability depends on your individual circumstances and current Commonwealth telehealth rules. Your GP will let you know during the consultation whether your consult is rebate-eligible.
No subscriptions. No form-based medicine. You only ever pay for the consultation you have — there's nothing to cancel and nothing recurring.
Telehealth is brilliant for most everyday medical concerns — but it isn't right for every situation. Being upfront about that is how we keep you safe.
A practical, honest comparison of the three most common ways to see a doctor in Australia. There's no single right answer — it depends on what you need.

The questions our patients ask most about seeing a doctor online in Australia.
Most patients connect with a consulting GP within a few minutes of requesting a consultation. During very busy periods — for example winter cold and flu season or late evenings — short waits can occur, but you will always be given a realistic estimate before you join the queue.
Yes. Every GP who consults through Clinic Online is a qualified, AHPRA-registered Australian medical practitioner. You can verify any GP's current registration at any time through the public AHPRA register at ahpra.gov.au.
Antibiotics can be prescribed during an online GP consultation where they are clinically appropriate — for example a clear urinary tract infection in an otherwise well adult. Your GP will follow Australian antibiotic stewardship guidelines, which means antibiotics are not given for viral illnesses such as most colds or flus, where they do not help and can cause harm.
Medicare rebates for telehealth GP consultations depend on your individual circumstances and the current Commonwealth telehealth rules. Your Clinic Online GP will let you know during your consultation whether a rebate applies to you and, where eligible, will process the paperwork so the rebate flows back to your nominated bank account.
Yes — where each is clinically appropriate. A single Clinic Online consultation can include any combination of a medical certificate, one or more e-prescriptions, a specialist referral, and pathology or radiology referrals. Everything is sent to you electronically during or immediately after the consult.
All consultations take place over an encrypted video or phone connection. Your clinical notes are stored in a secure, Australian-hosted medical records system and are only accessible to clinicians directly involved in your care. Clinic Online complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the My Health Record Act where applicable.
If your consulting GP decides your concern requires a hands-on examination, a procedure, or urgent imaging, they will tell you clearly during your consultation and help you plan next steps — typically a visit to your local GP or an emergency department. Telehealth is not a replacement for in-person care where that is what your condition needs.
No booking is required. Clinic Online operates on an on-demand basis, so you can request a consultation whenever you need one, and the next available Australian GP will connect with you. If you'd prefer a specific time, you can still request a consult when it suits and join the live queue then.
